Hawley Dentist - Dr. Geoffrey D. Bentley - Family and Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Bentley was born in Grand Forks, ND. After living a few years in Minneapolis, he moved with his family to Hawley in 1954. He attended elementary and high school in Hawley graduating in 1968. He continued his undergraduate education at Concordia College in Moorhead where he received a BA in 1972 with a major in Business and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Bentley completed his graduate training at the University of Minnesota obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in December of 1975. Following his graduation from the University, Dr. Bentley entered active duty with the United States Navy, completing an internship in April of 1978 where he received valuable training and experience in all areas of dentistry. Upon leaving active duty with the navy, he returned to Hawley to join his father in private practice in May of 1978.
Professionally, Dr. Bentley is a fellow in both the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists. He is a past trustee to the Minnesota Dental Association, and a past president of both the Northwest District Dental Society and the Clay County Dental Society. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Bentley continues to serve his country as a captain in the United States Navy Reserve. He currently is assigned to the United States Marine Corps where he has the honor of providing dental support to some of the finest young men and women this country has to offer. Dr. Bentley has been granted privileges as a comprehensive dentist by the United States Navy, demonstrating a high level of competency in all phases of dentistry.
Dr. Bentley is married to the former Pamela Bengtson of Hallock, MN. They have three grown children, Erik (Ingrid), Sarah, and Reid; and one granddaughter, Annika Marie.
Dr. Bentley enjoys many outdoor activities, but his favorite avocation in aviation. He is an active private pilot and flies a single engine airplane when ever he finds time.
